But by 2026, a pretty website on its own is no longer a useful website. The work expanded. A site that earns its keep today is built around digital marketing, SEO, and AEO discoverability in the AI answer engines that are quietly replacing search; conversion design and lead capture that turn traffic into actual customers; and the analytics to know whether any of it is working.
